  1. Roger, a "no-fly zone" is flawed by definition because you cannot police a no fly zone by air. Regardless of this, the UN resolution doesn't really mean anything does it, the UK, French and US governments are doing as much damage to Libya's military infrastructure before world opinion gets wise and forces them to stop. What they are doing is not "right" or "legal" and complete hypocrisy when you look at other regimes in the region and across the rest of Africa that are doing much worse to their citizens. Why aren't we helping people in Gaza or Yemen or Bahrain... I wonder.

I have looked at the resolution and it doesn't say military force can be used to bomb ground units. US generals were reporting two days into the bombing that none of Libya's aircraft had been in the skies during that time, so what exactly are the coalition forces enforcing?

When you look at history and see the number of military campaigns and wars conducted by the US and UK governments since the late 18th century you see that the US & UK are up there as some of the greatest bullies the world has ever seen.

Don't you just love that sense of national pride!
